(Found) Looking for a story or book name

hi everyone, a long time ago I read an Isaac Asimov story about a world where people are categorized into professionals by a computer that scans their brains. The story focused on one individual who didn't have a clear brain scan result which was frustrating for him, but in the end he discovered he was one a few important individuals which were inventors or something like that.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Do you remember this story or book's name?
