Although this convention does not yet have an official website ready, they have a wall on Facebook. There was a previous NecronomiCon every other year in Providence, but this is being handled by new people. It is slated for late August, 2013, to be held in Providence. Just that fact--to be held in Providence--makes this a must-attend event. The emphasis will be a serious investigation of Lovecraft's literary works and philosophy, and thus this will be an exceptionally interesting convention for Lovecraft scholars, of which there will be many of ye major ones, being this is an East Coast event. S. T. Joshi is already a confirmed participant, as is Providence's own Caitlin R. Kiernan. It's over a year away, so ye have plenty of time to start saving up. Truly, this may be the most significant gathering of Lovecraftians since MythosCon and is not to be missed! I am so excited. Due to my weakened state, I won't be able to go on any of S. T.'s energetic walking tours, should such occur, although I will somehow find my way to 10 Barnes Street!! Ia!
