You may be interested in some podcasts available thru iTunes (and perhaps other places):
The Writing University Podcast.
I've just listened to the first one (Sands Hall: Building Characters), very interesting talk by a writer/actor/director. Don't give up after 2 mins, there is a dull sounding intro - the actual speaker is much more interesting.

I can't speak for the rest of the series yet.

There are other podcasts available too, e.g. Writing Challenges from Warwick Uni. I haven't listened to any of those yet either.

These podcasts are gold

I've listened to maybe four more of these. I seriously recommend them. Great, engaging speakers. I think I even got something out of the speech on (ghosting) poetry.

Let me know how you go with them. I got a lot our of them.
I think more have been released now.

There's also Writing Excuses, a podcast led by Brandon Sanderson. It's chock full of advice, writing prompts and good stuff.
