Book with two headed alien

please help me. i have been looking for this book for years i cant rember the name of the book or the writer. all i rember is it started with S and it had a two head aline on the cover. the book talked about these kids on a ship and this one kid could tap in to computers with his mind. and the have the ship computer named Mother taking care of them since there parents are dead. so they land on this plant and meet with these two head aline the aline tells them that they where brought there and that the adults have to work and stuff but since the kids have no parents they have to work and stay on the plant. or something like that :I so the alines find out about the kids power and the have a name for what he dose i think they called him a SCIWIRE or something like that and there also these outher alines that are trying to kill him. and he has a sister. Sciwire is also the name of the book but im not sure and the book won an award i think. please help me if anyone knows where to find please reply. i dont really know how old it is and its also a video game as well the game has the same name as the book. thank u it would really help thanks the plant that the alines live on it a real plant that came close to earth during the Ice age i think.

This is the Softwire book series by PJ Haa
rsma. The first book is Virus on Orbis (2006).
