Sorry this is a another thread like this but I hope someone been in the same situation and have a magical solution. This site has been a great source of authors in the past.

Are you asking for additional authors as recommendations or which of those on the list to read first?

If it's the latter, I'd say get into Banks. If it's the former, then add Alastair Reynolds to your equation. But then, this just reflects my own tastes.

Or go for a few anthologies from different periods, and see which stories/writers pique your interest, then follow up on those.... This is often a good way to get back into reading, or to discover new types of stories you'd enjoy....

You have a lot of books I also have on my shelf :)

Recommendations:

Joe Abercrombie - The Blade Itself.
Tad Williams - Shadowmarch.
James Barclay - Dawnthief.
Brandon Sanderson - The Way of Kings.

Long time no see...

I know your tastes are similar to mine.

Joe Abercrombie,

Scott R Bakker,

Scott Lynch

Mark Lawerence

James Barclay

Peter V Brett

Brent Weeks

Paul Kearny

Patrick Rothfuss
