I wanted to start a thread on this remarkable trilogy and get other opinions and general discussion on it.
I've read the whole thing twice so far. LW-E has always been an author of interest for me, mostly because of his Ethshar series.
My first impression of the first book, Dragon Weather, was that it was an excellent example of great pacing in a story. The dragons come and do their thing, Arlian is captured, enslaved and escapes all in short order (while providing vital information for things that happen later in the story) and then the story begins.
I think it's an interesting take on dragons as a whole and how they come to be and dealt with. It's also a fascinating study on the concept of vengeance and honor.
So....any thoughts?
