I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a passage, which I remember distinctly, where Aphrael ( I think) describes to the reader how the gods get their power and how they are formed. I know the principle, but I am looking to cite the passage itself. In anticipation of an upcoming paper, I read through the Elenium, thinking the passage was in there, in just over a week, but now my deadline is looming and I'm not sure if I have enough time to read the Tamuli in its entirety trying to find the passage. If anyone could help me out, I'd be indebted. Also, feel free to use this space to discuss the mythology of the series. Personally, I found the description to be humurous, especially when Aphrael mentions how the Elene God is no fun at the gods' parties. The humanizing of the gods works for the story, and the inconsistencies between gods and their behavior lends interesting contrast to their followers. I also thought it fascinating how the gods mirrored their worshipers, but I'm not sure if that is the case, or if the case is that the worshipers mirror their gods. Kind of a "chicken-and-the-egg" scenario.
