This is my first post on the site, and I wasn't sure where to post this.

I'm trying to find the short sci-fi story 12:01 PM by Richard A. Lupoff, does anyone know where I can read it online? I've searched everywhere but have found nothing! I've noticed the same question is posted on Yahoo! Answers but the answers aren't very helpful.
I love the 1990 short film adaptation and I'm really lookng forward to reading the original story. Thanks for any help.

Though you're not searching for the title of a story, but a version of it for a particular medium, I still believe the Book Search sub-forum is probably the best place to ask for the information you're seeking.

Which is why I've moved it here.

Happy hunting. :)

Yup your problem is that it will still be in copyright so it's unlikely you'll find it anywhere to read online. I suspect it has fallen in the hole of in-copyright/out-of-print. Which means Vince's solution of buying the original magazine is probably your only hope.

I'll definitely buy it off Amazon, I always prefer real books over online PDF's etc,. Thanks for the replies.

This thread popped up when I Googled for this story, then I found it in this anthology, "The Time Travel MEGAPACK: 26 Modern and Classic Science Fiction Stories," so here it is for anyone else looking:

Thank you!

FYI, the original publication was in the December 1973 issue of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, as can be seen in the story's ISFDB entry. It is frequently the case (as in this instance) that a scan of the relevant issue can be read online at the Internet Archive.

Yes, and the version for those of us on the other side of the pond.

The Time Travel MEGAPACK ®: 26 Modern and Classic Science Fiction Stories Kindle Edition

99 cents!

I got it.
It has a Cyril Kornbluth story and an Edmond Hamilton story that I've forgotten, and a Raymond Z. Gallun story that didn't pack the wonder of his other story.
But you get 12:01 P.M..
