mercenary book need title and author

So really all i can remember is the main charactee of this book is the leader of the mercenary group and somehow he got in trouble or was required to be in charge of the group... he's super rich and the one part I remember is when his group has to room in a hotel and the hotel manager wont give them rooms since they are a mercenary group so he just buys the hotel... ring any bells?
