It's been slow recently, so i thought I'd post this. I'm going to limit myself to 5 things :)

There are things that we kind of "know" will happen that aren't certainties, yet would be disappointing if they never came to pass. For me, I'd like to see

Arya reunited with nymeria. I'm going to bawl like a baby when that happens

Arya reunited with Jon, even if just for a shor while. That will also be a Kleenex moment.

Tyrion ride a Dragon

I could give many others, but those will suffice for now :)

Revealing Jon's parentage. I'm going to jump around the room.
Stark sibilings reunited at last (Don't forget their direwolves). Oh, the packs of tissues I'm going to need.
Lannister sibilings reunion. I'm going to lose all my nails in that proces.
Gendry's fate and of those kids he looks after. Probably another tissue-demanding scene.
Ramsay Bolton's death. I seriously can't wait. I'm uncertain whether there is any other character in th ASOIAF that I really hate like I hate him. And his dad, don't forget him, the old cunning pervert. And Lady Dustin, vengeful b**** without a real reason. And those Slaver Bay noble bunch of toerags. And Janos Slynt, I simply hate him. And those men around Stannis' wife, a bunch of suck-ups. And Master Pycelle, grow some balls man. And the Tyrells, definitely Tyrells, a tedious lot. And Euron, *******. And that High Septon for some reason. Actually, there is quite a number of them I hate. My bad.

Many things actually that I can't remember right now.

Sansa arranging Littlefinger's demise. (Arya?)

Sansa and Arya united.

The Hound defeating The Mountain.

Asha dispatching Ramsay.

Manderly taking out Roose.

High Septon forced to walk naked in the streets of King's Landing as punishment for fornication.

Dragon air force.

A united Wolf recon force.

Dany at the head of an Armada.

Tyrion as Hand again. Tyrion finds true love.

Jaime redeems self.

Hodor gets used to Bran running the show, and becomes uberknight.

Bran runs communications with help from Bloodraven.

Jons parentage

Arya reunited w jon and her wolf

Cersi being reunited w her brothers. Which i hope will happen in her POV when it comes to tyrion just to take in all her reactions and mind set!

Little fingers end

Gendry and arya being reunited

Dany and her nephew claahing or teaming up

Tyrion finding where whores go aka finding his first and only love( idk why but i think somewhere hes going to eventually run into her)

Anything and everything thats going to happen w sam

Dragons at the wall

Dragon air force.
LMAO!

As for my list....

Same with Imp, Arya and Nymeria reunited. I've wanted this since she had to throw rocks at Nymeria to drive her off.

Arya and Jon not only reunited, but joining forces.

Sansa growing the hell up and ceasing to be a weepy spoiled little child lamenting the fact that real life is not like the songs, and ceasing to be a pawn in other people's power plays and developing some kind of a personality that's a notch above vapid. (she's halfway there so I have hope)

Theon telling the truth about Bran and Rickon.

Rickon rejoining the story. I actually think wild little Rickon all grown up under the tut-ledge of a wildling spear wife would make a formidable addition to Arya's sure-to-be-formed band of assassins.

Something really terrible to happen to all the Freys, but especially the Late Lord Frey. (See also: Arya's Band of Assassins)

Winterfell restored to the Starks.

Cersei dead, hopefully in an incredibly public and shameful way.

Jaime being redeemed in the eyes of the rest of the Westerosi.

Will second the Dragon Air Force mentioned above.

Littlefinger roasted by dragon fire.

Jorah redeemed to Dany.

BFS kicking some Lannister a**.

And of course....The Others defeated, the realm preserved and a peace forged between the Wildlings and the good people of Westeros.

And shiny happy people holding hands.

If even 1/10th of that comes to pass I will be over the moon.

Oh Imp! I could write a book on this! Going with your 5 limit to start.

Arya and Nymeria set loose upon the world!

Ramsey dead hopefully by the hand of Theon or Arya.

Sansa giving Littlefinger his just desserts.

Jaime's redemption at least to himself.

My Jon is not dead because theory being absolutely right!

I knew I was forgetting some....

Confirmation of Jon's parentage would be a nice bonus but with recent discoveries I no longer feel like I *need* that.

However....Ramsay and Roose both need to die. And it goes without saying that I want Jon to live. Needle's theory would be awesome, but any other theory that allows us to keep a fully human, fully alive Jon Snow would make me rejoice.

The wall coming down and the land united and normal seasons returned
Arya and Nymeria forming a huge kick a** pack :)
Seeing a lot of characters I don't like killed (but that may be wishful thinking)
Dragons in Westeros
The truth about Jon's parentage
Stannis getting a reality check

THings I want to see that will most likely happen
1. Arya completing here list
2. A stark in winterfell
3. Finally knowing the truth about the tower of joy
4. Jaime Meets Lady Stoneheart/uncat and lives through it...and as a bonus Pod is alive :) :)
5. Tyrion brings down cersei
6. The day jojen dies....Not because I don't like Jojen, it's just been mentioned too many times to not happen

I would like to see Jaime and Brienne rescue Sansa and thereby keeping their oaths. Sansa can see what a true knight looks like. (Jaime, if he is a redeemed Lannister, and Brienne, because of her character qualities).

Maybe Stoneheart/Cat will take down Littlefinger.

Sansa will become a queen, having learned her lessons.

6. Baelish and Varys surviving the Lannister fall and keeping themselves entrenched in the subsequent Targaryen restoration. You think Dany will take in BFS and not Varys? Varys holds all knowledge that Dany desires. Don't think that Baelish has made his move and will take on the other six kingdoms singlehandedly... He's playing the Lords Declarant. He's playing Cersei. He's playing the Tyrells. He already got over on Tywin and Tyrion... he's the Puppet Master. And he'll have a "Get out of Jail free card" for Dany or Aegon. Believe me about the redhead, Sansa will never get the upper hand on Middlefinger. Never. She's just learning to plan one step ahead while Baelish has played the entire game over and over in his head.

5. Three armies show up for battle, each led by friends of Rhaegar... Jaime marshalling the Lannister host, Connington leading Aegon's forces, and BFS at the head of Dany's horde. Who dies? Who needs redemption the most?

4. Jaime coming within reach of redemption and turning aside... He's going, to quote Shepherd Book, "to burn in a very special level of hell."

3. Brienne's first kiss.

2. Cersei's last breath.

1. Confirmation that Aerys II was the illegitimate father of Cersei, Jaime, Tyrion, and Jon.... or at least just Tyrion and Jon.

And a special bonus...

Finding out that Jon and Ramsay were switched at birth!!!!!! Oh, the humanity!

Welcome back, Boaz!

I suppose it depends on whether or not GRRM wants the theme to be the bad guys get punished or the slimeballs win the Game of Thrones.

Still, I think Sansa is setting up to be a queen, of what, I don't know. And I do hope that she wakes up and gets some help from some True Knights. Jaime, Brienne or Arya, Jon, Sandor, Aegon even? Is that wishful thinking? Probably. In spite of it all, there is a Romantic hidden there deep in me.

And then, the Cynical side says that the slimballs will inherit. Oh well.

Hey, Eulalia... I have to agree with your last sentence.

I know I got off the Imp's intent for the thread regarding things that are supposed to happen and that we wish to see fulfilled and instead got into things that are not supposed to happen but that I think will happen.

GRRM has stated, my apologies for not knowing the source, that the ending of ASOIAF will be bittersweet. But I refuse to believe that the sweet will be very sweet... I think the bitter will be very bitter. After the defenestration, the killing of the wrong pet, the beheading in KL, the Red Wedding, and much more... I cannot believe that GRRM will end the stories with a fairy tale "Pretty Pink Ponies in Paris" themed Senior Prom and that anyone will live happily ever after.

Prepare yourselves for only one of the original pack surviving.

Laugh. I am prepared! Well I did think the Imp was asking for some Pink Ponies!

I do think Sansa will be queen of something. The TV series makes me more convinced. Perhaps she will be Tyrion's passive queenmoll after being despoiled by Littlefinger and forevermore hate Tyrion and be repulsed by him, but will decide to be Cersei lite. However, I still like Tyrion(pseudokinslayer), so I do not wish for that for anyone.

I still hope for some Pink Ponies, even if it is Arya finishing off her list (which now excludes Sandor).

Even pinker would be Jaime becoming a Robinhood style outlaw(such as his first kill) and joining up with Cat and Brienne to finish off the Freys and rescue Sansa. Say it ain't so. And then, of course, he will dispose of Cersei, when she threatens Tyrion, Sansa, Brienne and Dany.

Also, Arya and Gendry meet again, fall in love, and set up a Needleworks.:)

Needleworks!

Years and years ago, in the tradition of BenJen, TomKat, and Brangelina, I proposed SanSan for the possibility of the marriage of Sandor and Sansa.

I think Sansa either ends up with Sandor, Jon, or back with Tyrion.

maybe Sansa will be queen of something, but maybe it will be short lived or not as we expect?

I'm with Boaz I will be disappointed if I stick to the end of this and the supposed "good guys" win out, I am ready for more realism in my fantasy, Sansa may battle Littlefinger but I don't expect her to win or be unscathed - I would be really disappointed if this happened, she is going to have to really suffer for her lessons learned, lessons come hard in this age and especially for young women.

i think Arya is going to really sink low before she can rise again, good strong metal has to be pounded on a hard anvil to be true?

I expect Arya will sink very low--she's pretty low already. The Nissa Nissa theory could very well be so. Almost too aweful to contemplate--must be it, but the alternative is probably Dany.

In a very pink pony world, yes I think Arya would be happier if she and Gendry had a forge. Arya is experienced at sales (Get your pointy ends right here folks)and Gendry could handle production. I don't know who would do the books.

I think the scene where Sansa rallies the ladies of King's Landing, while Cersei is drunk and threatening, is key. Why put it in otherwise? She does have moments of bravery, cunning (yes Joffrey go out in the Van, where you belong, dearest) and resourcefulness. Also, Sansa does draw defenders, one way or another. Could at least see Sandor coming to the rescue. (Sansan) Would Sansa ever apprecitate Tyrion that much, although she should? I could see her claiming that she was still married to Tyrion to avoid another marriage or maybe someone suggesting that to her, like one of her new BFF's. Yes Jon is a possibility. I think Jaime would be interesting as sort of a Lancelot character(Tyrion does a hand off to his brother) Or perhaps Tyrion and Sansa would be married with other lovers.

It does seem ironic that Penny seems somewhat like Tysha is recalled to be. And Tyrion is flat out not interested in her, even though she is willing. Will that change? An extra weirdness is that Penny has been somewhat annoying, even though she is quite sweet really. Will she ever be the Imp's Penny?

I think the "good guys" have taken quite a pounding, don't you? Seems like anyone with an ounce of moral fiber or goodness in their heart is a feast for crows, pardon the pun, and have been mercilessly slaughtered for the better part of 5 large books. The pendulum must swing at some point, or there will be little point to the story except "the bad guys win because they are BAD!"

After all, Hitler eventually did lose the war, but only after the good guys paid a horrific price. THAT is far more real than anything you find in GRRMs books. I'd hardly call the aftermath of WW II a "Hollywood ending".

Now to get silly:

Besides, everybody knows that Sansa is going to marry Aegon, find Rickon and put him back at Winterfell, rebuild Westeros, and usher in a 100 years of peace and plenty. After every last Lannister is killed by the King's Hand, Arya Stark, accompanied by her big, nasty direwolf, Nymeria.

Daenarys will scour the world and kill all the slavers with dragonfire.

Also, the Greatsword Ice will be reforged and given into Rickon's hand by Aegon himself.

Oh yeah. Jon Snow will wake up from his "death", marry Daenarys, and the two of them will take care of the Others.

Bran will become a mighty fine tree.

Tyrion will finally find true love.

;)
