Acacia Trilogy by David Durham

I noticed the Acacia books when browsing in the bookstore and was wondering what people thought of them. They have nice covers but i shied away after seeing at Goodreads that a significant ratio of readers had only so so impressions or worse. But the people that liked them really, really liked them.
If you have read these or at least the first one I would like to hear what you liked and didn't like - world, characters, plot, conclusion, etc.

I have read the whole series and was very impressed with it. This was a series that had every thing i like about fantasy books. Strong characters, original story line, great the whole way through.

I highly recommed to anyone looking for a good series.

I've read the first two. Not one of my favourite series but good enough to make me want to read the last one.
