Bobby Dollar series

I am currently reading The Dirty Streets of Heaven and really enjoying it so far. I am almost 50% through. The story is about Heaven and Hell, Angels and Demons, working "together" to judge dearly departed souls before being sent off into Hevane or Hell or Purgatory. Until one day a soul goes missing (which is very very bad)...

Anyone else read this, what did you think? To me the plot moves pretty quickly as the book is half the size of you typical Tad Williams epic doorstopper.

Think I might just pick this one up. I found Shadowmarch had a very glacial pace, and still think Memory, Sorrow and Thorn was his best work.

Clansman, this is more action packed, and quirky. Very different from his traditional fantasy and SF

 

[The Bluestocking]

"The Dirty Streets of Heaven" is one of the best fantasy books I've read in a while - the action scenes were well-handled and I like Dollar's snarky sense of humour.

Definitely picking up the next two books in the series this year.
