Reese must protect a dedicated investigative reporter who's number comes up while she investigates the head of HR. Reese must find someway to get close and protect her without revealing that he's everyone's 'man in a suit'. Elsewhere, Fusco's loyalties get tested when someone from HR tells him to help out or else.

I thought this was a pretty good episode. We got to see Finch's relationship with Bear evolve to the point where he made the mistake of buying a squeaky toy ;)

Reese got to experience online dating (and looked terrified about it :)), but in the end, I think he enjoyed himself. Finch's backup was perfect and I'm glad that she's back for a little.

I think Fusco needs to tell Reese about Simmons because Reese would try even harder to bring down HR.

Re: 2.05: Bury the Ledeger

I thought this was a pretty good episode.

It was another excellent episode and it certainly did deepened the story that already got quite a bit complicated last year. There is something in this whole thing, which says to me that there are people like Elias and HR Boss, that are on the top but also who are also untouchable, like the boss of Lord of War.

Not only they are that but they are also invisible, like the underlying bosses in Nolan's Dark Knight. One could even say that they are the root of all evil and the corruption is just mere tool in their box.

So I'm really interested to see where this season goes and what sort of worms it'll bring on the surface.

It was nice one and it certainly did make me a laugh, when Finch tried to veer him off with a ball. And I see that same thing happening with our cat, who has an ability to drive me mental on worst possible moment by begging food with most annoying series of meus.

I don't think she's going anywhere as she's like Fringe series Nina. Too important tool for the producers to discard, and also too important tool for Finch and Reese to ignore.

The same thing happens with our dog, except he just digs until he finds the squeaker and then gets bored, leaving us to clean up the fuzz.

Based on that, I wonder if they're going to keep Zoe as recurring character or move her up to starring?

Ironically, while I love Paige/Zoe, I hope they keep her at the (frequently) recurring level. I think they have enough regulars and are even getting kind of loaded up on recurring characters. I think it works for her character to appear and disappear and I just enjoy the kick I get out of "hey, this one has Paige!", which would be lost if she were a regular. :)

I'm sure there were little glitches I could argue with about this episode (there always are - for instance, I don't know anything about it but doesn't the reporter being forced to online dating strain credibility?) but I don't really remember. I basically liked it, and that's the important thing for me. I am a little confused about how they're playing the Fusco thing, though - he's been in binds before and he should know by now where his bread's buttered, but he seems to be trying to take a little too much personal initiative, though he doesn't seem to be purposefully completely betraying Reese/Carter/etc. But he could definitely continue to be squeezed that way.

I think they're trying to do this as a situation that he's trying to take care of by himself because it's from before he was one of the 'good guys' plus the fact that Simmons mentioned his son in an attempt to get him to cooperate. There's also the fact that there's obviously aspects from before that he really doesn't want out although considering that Reese got him in the beginning you'd think he wouldn't want to hide anything from him...

Some interesting twists in this one. Reese as an undercover blind date actually kind of worked. But I don't think we'll see the spunky girl reporter any more. Her little farewell speech kinda sealed it.

I thought it was pretty funny when Finch held up the squeaker from the big toy. Don't know if the dog eviscerated the toy to get at it (something dogs do quite frequently) or Finch couldn't stand it any more and excised it himself.
