Hi, a few years ago I read a (I think it was) saga and thought it was excellent. I just can't for the life of me remember the titles and author. I think it was someone like David Eddings or Raymond E. Feist...along those lines.
I don't remember a great deal except that there was this old man that lived for hundreds of years, and the same characters (but with different names and identities) were all interlinked over the years.
He was the same right through, but the others kept being reborn (though they had no idea, unlike him) and meeting again. I thought it was very well written and the type of book that makes complete sense when you're reading it.....until you try to explain it to someone
I think there was a male and female, possibly lovers in a past life, but when they were born again as different people the old man tried to keep them from meeting as it would be disastrous.....maybe they were born again as brother and sister but seperated at birth....
Sorry, I know it's pretty vague but hope someone will recognise it and be able to help me out.
Thanks in advance
