The title saying a lot I hope. This guy is an artist living in London and is losing grip on reality. When drunk het speakes in 'tonges'. Het meets a person I vaguely remember beiing called Pi in some obscure place where homeless people dwell. I also remember the lead figure crossing over to another world where he discovers he can use magic. In his travels through a once beautiful and now somewhat tormented land he finds out he is a magical master named Satori (?). Het did terrible deeds like freezing the godesses in ice on a mountain. After this he ersases his own memories but with his travels he starts to remember. There is also a woman in this book which he sees as his property and his eternal love (he possibly created her) At the end of the book she sets herself free. Also at the end of the book the line between this world and the other get more vague as people start to cross over.
There are a vew more things I remember but the above hopefully will ring a bell with someone. I read the book some 10 to 15 years ago, lost it but it allway stayed with me in my mind. Who can give me a book title or writer?
