I have seen 3 TV episodes based upon this Bradbury story, & have a question for anyone who has read the story. In ["FUNERAL MARCH OF THE Marionettes" PLAYS] the ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS version, DESIGN FOR LOVING, screen written by Bradbury himself, The man who is about to take $5k from his savings account, which he jointly holds with his wife, upon examining it, sees that his wife had already bought a copy of herself, and he had been living with a robot all along! But the version that was in the RAY BRADBURY series itself lacked that element.
Was this element part of the original story?
