Charles Chilton, titan of classic BBC radio Sci-Fi (and scriptwriter of Attenborough's Oh, What A lovely War!), has passed away at the age of 95.
He wrote the Journey Into Space series--the last radio show to outdo telly in the ratings--which, in time-honored BBC tradition, was subsequently thrown away after use and then found 30 years later in someone's shed.
