Major author but how good? And where to start?

Hello.
Well, all in fact is in the tittle but I will explain my thoughts. I heard about Feist for some years now, and I should probably say for MANY years now ^^, and I always wonder if it's that good. Some people around me said to me that it was good at the time but now it became more or less too simple/flat.

Can someone tell me more about Feist and his books?

Start at Magician, then Silverthorn, then A Darkness at Sethanon. I stopped reading him about three books after that, but I think the above are probably his best.

As Alchemist says. After Darkness of Sethanon the quality started to slip, and some of the later books were frustrating at times and the glaring errors made me want to scream but they were entertaining enough to keep me reading the last two to me were more like the Feist of old and I'm impatiently waiting the finale of this long running saga to be released in May.
