Novel search: A Mongol in the 20th century

Hi all,

looking for the author and title of a fantasy novel where a mongol
warrior has been 'time-travelled' (against his will and knowledge ISTR)
into the 20th century.
Do not remember much else, except I found it a good story and that
his life in the middle ages was depicted accurately (as far as I can tell).

I actually knew this and was so excited to actually answer it. But you found it first. I think that the date is a lot later than the 20th century. But an excellent read in my opinion.

Interesting -- I haven't read that one! From the sound of this one, you would probably also enjoy his Geodyssey series, if you haven't already.
