Just sharing my collection of books...

First three original books are hard to find and/or very expensive.

First Doubleday trade edition previously published only as a book club edition starting in 1963

I have a first edition "Trilogy" trade copy (1st edition / 1st printing) as indicated by the "M44" gutter code (October 1982). The publication date for this edition is December 1982.

I like to see good copies of old editions. Does anyone have any of the original Asimov Doubledays from the 1950's?

Doubleday didn't make these.

The actual Trade edition where from Gnome Press Company, New York. Theses bad boys go for several thousand dollars!

Oh yes, I'd forgotten that. So what were the first Doubledays? I'm thinking may have been Pebble in the Sky, then maybe Caves of Steel?

Another way of getting Foundation "first editions" would be to seek out the right volume (from May 1942 onwards) of Astonishing, I guess.
