ugh! this happens all the time and I want it to stop!
I get very into my work i do in the morning, or life gets busy and I let my book slip through my fingers and have to 'get back into it' all over again!

I have not worked on it in 2 weeks! (if im not posting annoying threads here, you know I have stopped writing...)

So what is the best way to get back into your story when you fall out of it?
reading other books? writing notes? or reading your own story? or just continue writing even if you are not fully 'there'?

I am bad at multitasking. If I am into my book then I am not working at work -im daydreaming!
If im into my work, than at night im bringing my work home with me and not writing.

I just write, even if I'm not fully into it. I know that I'm going to have to go back and edit anyway, so whether it's a little bit bad or really awful, the same edit process needs to happen. So I just go "Eugh, don't feel like writing" and write anyway.

Choose a time when you know you'll have time to yourself. With me it's after 9:30pm, so I usually try and get 2-3 hours in (except Fri and Sat, which are nights for relaxing!).
