Fade to Black is released at last!

FROM THE DEPTHS OF A VALLEY RISES THE CITY OF MAHALA
It's a city built upwards - where streets are built upon streets, buildings upon buildings. A city that the Ministry rules from the sunlit summit, and where the forsaken lurk in the darkness of Under.
Rojan Dizon doesn't mind staying in the shadows, because he's got things to hide. Things like being a pain-mage, with the forbidden power to draw magic from pain. But when the fate of Mahala depends on him using his magic, he can't hide for ever.

Some fabulous people have said some very nice things about it.

And I started off here on the Chrons... (got my first ever crit here!)

Way to go KMQ, and the best of luck (along with all the hard work you're about to be enveloped in) with it. Are you doing any book signings locally? Waterstone's in Crawley has authors reasonably often...

COngratulations :)

Yes, noticed this come up the other day so have already ordered. :)

A friend is being published via a Little Brown imprint next week, and I noticed Fade To Black showing on the front page of the LB site under "new books" - however, clicking through I couldn't find it there!!

Anyway, congrats, and noticed the sequel is already showing on Amazon as well. :)

Hoping to! They've changed how they organise signings - I'm just waiting to hear back. I'll let you know if there is one.

Yup, out in June and number three in November

Thanks guys :D

Congratulations, Kmq! :)

I read the chapters on the Orbit website. Good. So I raided the piggy bank, and it's on order.

Yes, best of luck with your three  published books this year, KMQ. :):)

I got Fade to Black from Amazon delivered to my house yesterday...I will be reading it as soon as I finish "The Daylight War" by Brett...I wish his book was better so I would read it faster...

Well I will try to read it fast as well. I am excited to get to it. Then I can read it's follow up which I was lucky enough to have signed :)

I'm enjoying this - love the idea of the pain-mages, and the general Blade Runner feel to this world. Definitely something different in moon and content to what I've read before, though interesting to note one of Ian Whates' novels was also based in a city tower.

Thread resurrection powers - activate!

I just popped on to say I found this book in my local library and recommend it. So congrats if you're still here @Kissmequick, you're circulated enough to reach a library in an obscure town like mine :)
