Looking for a specific recommendation

Hey everyone,

I wasn't sure which section to put this in so I came here.

After having read Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson I now have a craving for more books like it.

But to be more specific, I'm looking for fantasy books featuring a teacher/student relationship such as Kelsier and Vin's. It definitely has to be an older male and younger female. If it's a father/daughter or brother/sister relationship that's okay too. In fact, Kelsier eventually did start to view Vin almost like a daughter.

I'm not looking for romances but I'm not opposed to them.

Scott Lynch has a similar novel called The Lies of Locke Lamorra and Robin Hobbs Assassins Apprentice, they both as far as I know have teacher/apprentice style novels in the fantasy genre, I think Patrick Rothfuss The Name of the Wind is sloghtly similar. Just check with the well read chrons, you wont go wrong. And Brent Weeks Night Angel trilogy and the Lightbringer series. Sorry see that it has to be a male teacher and female apprentice, but these should help satisy your need.
