Are you thinking sic-fi or fantasy?
Novellas have traditionally been hard to place; too short to publish on their own, too long for magazines. BUT! It seems to me, and I've read a few blog posts about it recently, that it'd be a great length for e-books.
After I'm done with my WIP, or just as likely, while working on it, I'd like to give it a go with the idea that I'd be writing an e-book from the start.
