Hello eveyone.

I need your help to track down a SF english language full length novel i read in 1975.

This impending disaster/catastrophe scenario takes place on a contemporary Earth. A satellite or alien spaceship is orbiting our planet and spreading a virus or force which is slowly killing the populace and the planet. There are no off Earth adventures or actual alien invasions as such.
The action is mainly in Europe/North America and has a male protagonist and about 2 female characters if i remember correctly.

Do any of you know the title or it's author? If not, can you recommend a bibliography or an internet search method/engine i could use to get the info' that i seek?

Thank you in advance.

No, i have read most of the late Michael Crichton's books and in this case, seen the film. The book was written in the third person, and the author at one point describes a female character as having ' legs like Carrera marble'. Tens of thousands of words and the only ones i remember are these! My own research suggests the plot is similar to that of Harry Harrisons 'The Jupiter legacy', a copy of which i'm trying to get hold of.
