Been recommended to me so have picked up the following used paperbacks:

Tengu
Revenge of the Manitou
Angel
Burial
Walkers
Prey

Quite a bit to get my teeth into!

As horror writers go he's not bad at all, written some good books.

His short story collections are worth getting too, but tend to be a bit rare.
I recommend his novels "Spirit", "The House That Jack Built", "Black Angel", "Flesh & Blood", "Burial".
Happy Hunting, Good Reading & Good Luck.

Flesh and Blood is a particular favourite of mine. Just love the way the plot strands pull together. His short story collections are fantastic, on a par with Clive Barker at his best. I found his syle good but brutal, he's not an author one reads if one has a weak stomach .:D

I recommend his novel The Wells of Hell , It's great stuff.:)

Almost finished Tengu, and got to admit it's had me hooked!

It's bloodthirsty, quite erotic in parts, a very interesting take on Japanese revenge for Hiroshima. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone who's looking for an old school, well written, interesting horror novel

May I ask the Masterton fans here where The Heirloom ranks in his books? It's the only one of his I have read and I thought it was pretty dreadful. Did I just pick a bad place to start or am I just not going to like his stuff?
