The Infinite Interior of the TARDIS (with pictures.)

Re: 33.11: Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS

Buzzfeed has compiled a set of photos of the interior of the TARDIS, from Classic Who and New Who:

I liked that, but the plans at the end cannot be correct. The Doctor said that space inside the TARDIS was infinite. If it is infinite then it cannot be drawn. However, it cannot be infinite. It must be at least ∞ -1. I'm confused

I think his point was, whenever a limit was reached, the TARDIS could add another room. So it's more that, whenever you get to size n, it's capable of being n+1

Just a thought. If the TARDIS is infinite, then perhaps we are all actually in the TARDIS right now (all be it in different rooms). Also, how can the doctor leave the TARDIS? Surely there would be an infinite distance between him and the door so he'd never actually reach it?

Re: 33.11: Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS

I have noticed there are problems with whole infinite TARDIS, and have wondered how it would all work.

Perhaps the space it fits in is infinite, but not the actual TARDIS itself, which can fill it as and when; or the TARDIS moves things around and you just have to trust her.

Or perhaps, as River has told us in the past, The Doctor lies.

Re: 33.11: Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS

How about the universe is inside the TARDIS which explains everything.

Re: 33.11: Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS

But there are more than one TARDISi. (What is the plural for TARDIS?) It is just an obsolete TT Type 40, Mark 3 which would mean there are even other types that are even more infinite!!

Seriously, they cannot all hold 'all' the universe or be anywhere close to 'infinite'. (Unless they all contain each other.)

I'm going to split this thread off into new conversation.

Even more infinite may be possible. I remember seeing a Horizon programme about black holes. Apparently they have infinite mass, but somehow (mathematics beyond me) some have greater infinite mass than others.

Would the plural of TARDIS be TARDI?

If other TARDI were in existence and also infinite, perhaps its like a multiverse - only in TARDIS form. Would this mean multi-Docs and multi-Masters?

Or perhaps a TARDIS is not infinite in the physical sense but has infinite possibilities.

On thaddeus' point. Never saw the programme but perhaps they measure the greater infinite mass by the greater effect it has on nearby stellar bodies?

Is there any fan who completely decorated or designed a room/house as a tardis? Just curious what it would look like :)

I know it is a bit off topic, but it did start with the pictures :)
