King's Landing hosts a wedding, and Tyrion and Sansa spend the night together. Dany meets the Titan's *******. Davos demands proof from Melisandre. Sam and Gilly meet an older gentleman.

This synopsis is taken from the HBO site, and seriously ends with "Sam and Gilly meet an older gentleman".

---

So many great little character moments in this one.

Davos' little grin as he finishes reading the sentence was fantastic! It was also interesting to see that Stannis, despite appearing to be fully behind Melisandre, has serious doubts about what he and Mel are doing.

Although she's not really done much this series, Cersei is still quite a nasty piece of work, even going as far as to tell the next Queen of Westeros that she'll be strangled in her sleep if she ever calls Cersei "sister" again. Cersei may not have any real power left, but it seems she's not going to let it stop her.

Poor Tyrion, having to cloak such a tall girl.

We may not have had a scene with Theon this week, but we still had a kid being tortured. With Melisandre out for his blood, I'm wondering how long it will be before Gendry is no more.

Olenna working out how Loras and Margaery will be related after the marriages was awesome: "But your brother will become your Father-in-Law. That much is beyond dispute".

At least Tyrion got his own back at Joffrey for taking his steps away. And even though he was saturated in alcohol, he managed to be the gentleman towards Sansa (who is hopefully coming to understand that marrying Tyrion isn't as bad as she might have thought).

I don't like Daario.

Sam, Sam, Sam... you managed to kill a White Walker with your blade of dragonglass, but you left it behind?! Dude!

I was yelling at the screen, "Sam go back and pick up the dragon glass" but I don't think he heard me, maybe he was pre occupied by the mass of crows.

Please someone anyone hit Joffrey. Much as I have read the books I wish still wishing Tyrion would have stuck that knife into Joffrey. I can't find one redeeming feature about him, nothing! Jack Gleeson who plays the part is brilliant he is just as loathsome as he is in the books.

Lady Olenna - the life of the party.

I think that Dario probably likes looking in the mirror at his own reflection as much as Lorris does! But as long as he is loyal to Dany. Another person for Jorah to dislike.

Looks like The Hound and Arya will make great travelling companions. At least he will get her to where she wants to be and he hates Cersei and Joffrey as much as she does so they'll have something to talk about.

Shae looked happy though going about her cleaning the morning after the wedding, so someone in Kings Landing is having a good day.

Quite enjoyed the episode this week.

SAM THE SLAYER!! Sam finally gets to use the Dragonglass(obsidian) dagger, then promptly abandons it while running from a flock of ravens...and anyone who's read the books will know what that foreshadows :) :)

Tyrion and Sansa's wedding played out as expected, although Diana Riggs once again brought a huge smile to my face.

Arya and Sandor will hopefully provide some great scenes in the next few episodes.

While I'm not sure I like whats going on with Gendry, as in the books it was a different character(Edric Storm) that Mel used for her magic, the scene with the leeches was worthwhile. Robb Stark, Balon Greyjoy, Joffrey Baratheon were the three names Stannis spoke when throwing the leaches onto the fire...which just gave me an epiphany that I may have to take over the the GRRM subforum :)

Davos can read now! Liam Cunningham proves once again to be the perfect choice for Davos.

Daario...This is a change from the books that I welcome! Blue hair and beard would have looked cheesy and out of place. And the scene in which he joins Dany was great! "they said I didn't have a choice, Daario Naharis always has a choice"

No Theon this week(thankfully) and no Jaime/Brienne(Sadly) but next weeks episode "The Rains of Castamere" ,if the title proves to allude to what I believe it does, should prove to be more exciting....

Watched it earlier. It just made me realise how little I remember from the books! Was nice having a break from Theon. I liked the Sam stuff, and the wedding.

I thought this was a pretty solid episode. I absolutely love the Queen of Thorns. She was awesome in the books, and she delivers every time she's onscreen.

I am also glad there were no Theon scenes this week.

I'm not sure how I feel about Daario. He is a far cry (in appearance anyway) from the book character. However, the actor playing him does seem to have the swagger and cockiness needed, so I suppose that is the important part.

I am very much looking forward to the remaining episodes. I'm just afraid they won't live up to my expectations, or the way I've pictured the events occuring.

This was an enjoyable episode. It was great to see Sam The Slayer in action and I was quite impressed with the depiction of the White Walker.

It was also good to see Peter Dinklage back in form as Tyrion. Loved the wedding and interaction between all the players and for once I was silently cheering on Cersei as she bandied words with Marge.

Daario not so impressed with, but then he was one of my least favourite characters in the books.

The Dragonstone scenes were a highlight for me. I really think the producers should be doing more with Davos and especially Stannis. He is one of the more complex and conflicted characters in the TV series.

No Theon torture scene, but we did have another poor youth getting tormented. On Theon, I know that the torture scenes are uncomfortable viewing, however, it is important that they are shown and Theon's character kept in the viewers minds. A TV public could easily forget his character if he is missing for two full seasons and wonder what the hell when he returns.

Overall the episode was well paced, the scenes well shot and you could see there is a lot more money going into this series.

I think I've gotten the point of Theon's torture scenes, though, so if I don't see another one, I'd be okay. If I see the aftermath of one and what torture has done to his psyche, yeah, I'm interested in that.

I agree. At this point, they've pretty much made Theon an almost unforgettable character. No more torture! I cringe with Theon every time I hear that horn now >.< Dreadful sounding thing!

Getting to stay with Stannis a little more in the series than in the book is turning out to be quite rewarding. He and Davos are perfect. And Lady Olenna. I love her :D everyone wasa great this week though. Too many great parts to mention in this post.

A decent episode that felt like it was going somewhere, with plenty of tension.

Almost thought we'd see someone else appear in the Sam scene. :)

And Arya is off to Robb's wedding? I don't remember that part, but should make for interesting viewing. :)

I think Arya is on the way to Edmure's wedding.

Liked this episode very much. Tyrion remains my favourate and Olenna is too adorable!

I think I've gotten the point of Theon's torture scenes, though, so if I don't see another one, I'd be okay.
