Where are the classics?

Hi Everyone. I was just wondering if anyone knows the reason why Manga entertainment has yet to release many classics to DVD for the UK. Classics such as Doomed Megalopolis, Tokyo Babylon, Battle Angel Alita and Legend of the Four Kings, all have NTSC releases but no PAL. But for some reason were only produced for the UK in VHS format but never to PAL DVD, if I want to view said films I will have to get them imported through Amazon for a very hefty price.

No idea, but I would suspect they thought there just wasn't the market for it, so they didn't believe it worth the money to produce.

It might be because there hasn't been much anime on British telly since Anime Central went off the air.

I watched Battle Angel Alita recently. It's not the greatest anime I've seen. Perhaps this is why it's not being seen as worth bothering with.

Usually this kind of thing is down to a company willing (or unwilling) to pay the licence to publish. Perhaps nobody sees the UK market as much of a money maker (America would be a much bigger market I suspect).
