Joanna Russ's Hobbit Adaptation

Thanks for this Extollager -- I found Joanna Russ in the 1980s and wish she'd written more.
 
Horrible thought; Tolkein seems to've ripped Russ a new one for the way she mangled his work, and Jackson goes unpunished.

Mind you, Susan Cooper tried to stop the studio from using the title of, 'The Dark is Rising,' because of the way her work was treated. Christopher Eccleston admitted to reading that particular book, and seems to be the only person involved with the film who had actually done so.:rolleyes:

The moral is obvious - wait until the author's dead before p*ss*ng on the classics.
