The Dickens & Dostoevsky Hoax Exposed

Interesting thanks. I'm a great fan of Dostoyevsky & it is known that Dickens was indeed an influence on him. Many see Dostoyevsky's The Dream of a Ridiculous Man as science fiction/fantasy.

When I first saw the report of Dickens and Dostoevsky meeting, I thought it was a true account, & figured they might have conversed in French; or Dosty could have brought along an interpreter.

Were lumberjacks in Essex especially thick?

Quote." His mother was a Jew from Hungary who had fled from the Nazis; his father was a lumberjack – the Essex, rather than Canadian, variety. Perversely, as with everything with Harvey, he reckons his father was the clever one. "
