What would you do?
You have a normal life, a dead end job, there is just something missing?
Then a mysterious older woman turns up, claiming to be your wife from the future, telling you that you are the greatest hero of them all.
Think she is mad?
Run?
Or join her on the adventure of a lifetime?
This is what faces a young man called Paul Redgrave.
And it will change his life forever.
A few years (well a lot more than a few actually) I was involved in the British small press. The internet was an interesting thing that could in no way grow into anything, and the magazines and comics were put together on whatever paper could be found, photocopied and thrown out through the post to whoever wanted them.
And amid this I started my SF comic book epic TIME ROGUES.
It was meant to be many things, a mystery, an adventure, an introduction followed by five epic stories, near fantasy, horror, science fiction, superheroes and goodness knows what else. It was something I was always proud of, even though it was never completed.
The artist I was working with, TIM REES drew the first six parts, that formed the introductory story line, PRELUDE & PROLOGUE and chewed his way through the first major adventure GODS OF SAND AND STONE before the project petered out as fanzines fell apart and people moved on.
But it is something I have always been proud of, and stumbling on it once more, reminded me of how much fun I had working on it.
As such I'm pleased to announce that TIME ROGUES: PRELUDE & PROLOGUE is available once again, now in graphic novel format. The book has been re-lettered and re-sized, and although some of the original pages have shown signs of their age have translated quite well into the printed form.
The production is not perfect, but I am very pleased with it.
