Online grammar test

I doubt anybody wants to know how I did with any of it. :D

It keeps locking up on Level 7, though.

I'm not going to follow that link until I'm properly awake.

I completed it despite my dyspraxia and some disagreements with the possessives. In some cases I didn't think there was enough information to make a decision and it became a best guess.

That was fun...I did finish it but a couple levels took a few attempts

I gave up after level 5 because it kept saying 'I'm easily lead' was wrong which to me seemed absurd. So I clicked it as 'wrong' and after another try it changed to 'right'. That bar is mesmeric though and I spent to much time focusing on its progress across the screen than thinking about the grammar.

Isn't it ironic that it made you change your answer on a question about being easily led? :D

I'll have to try it at home -- I don't know if it's my computer or browser or what, here at work, but it kept locking up and refusing to do anything in the middle of level 7. I noticed it wasn't until level 7 that it said "level 7 of 8" at the bottom to tell me how long it was going to go on, and at one point it had a button that wanted me to tweet my score, but I didn't try it because I don't tweet and I wasn't even done yet.

Just tried it again, and halfway through level 7 it locked up and went back to the start of level 1 again. Grr.

Got to the end, but it took a while for me to work out the devious nature of it...anyway what use is the skill of writing perfectly under pressure :)

(So says a natural re-re-re-drafter)

Also finished it. Tried to get the girls at work to do it too, but they just got grumpy.

Finished it, but it did seem to change its mind on a couple of things. Made me restart the level, but when I pressed the same answer the next time, to the exact same question, it accepted it.

That's cos it slightly changes the question sometimes, Aber.

No, I got that, but it also gives you the same question on some. My vision's been funny all day, though*, so maybe I hit stuff wrong.

*Blurs and flashes of colour at the edge of vision with a headache in the background.

Sorry, don't want to take your thread off-topic, springs, but I thought migraines were really painful, nausea-causing headache-y things. I know, of course, they're not the same as a headache. Other than a mild headache, no real pain, just bleh, and eyesight/concentration issues.

Oh, I can derail my own thread, surely? For you... :D aura migraines don't always cause a headache. You get visual disturbances like flashing lights, candy canes, stripes. Mine last about half an hour and then I'm shattered for a while after. Stress, tiredness and bright lights set me off. Sound like it at all?

Sounds almost exactly like it. Thanks. Funny, I've had them for years, but never thought they were migraines.

Okay, return to topic... :)
