I'm putting together a scrapbook for my new story and need an actor/character/famous man with a facial disfigurement - ideally one that will pass for a burn but I can work with something else. (It could be an alien that looks human enough).

Worf, the elephant man and Simon Weston are all I've come up with but ideally I'd like the character to be lankier in build.

I can only think of Seal and that woman... Katie someone? And that other woman who has the burned arm. Probably none of them are helpful.

Seal is the right kind of idea but because of the family make up he's now the wrong skin colour. Especially as there is a whole paternity issue in my story.

Dunno then. How about the character in Game of Thrones? The Hound?

Joaquin Phoenix was born with a cleft lip, after many hours of surgery it's barely noticeable these days, though it was a little more pronounced in his earlier work.

[Edit: I don't know how much you know about comics, but the Punisher had an archnemesis called Jigsaw who was in the Punisher: War Zone movie - he was thrown face-first through a plate glass window by the titular character and ended up looking like a patchwork quilt with teeth.]

The Hound looks good but is a little old. I might still use him. It was my fault I forgot to mention that Tommy (my character) is forty. I'm trying to put something like this together for him:
Scrapbooks - The Cuckoo in Black's Nest

This is him:

“Gorgeous isn’t she.” Tommy’s lopsided smile couldn’t get any wider. “Like Matt says, nuts in the head, gammy legs and face like the elephant man and I still bag the best looking broad North of Birmingham.” He pushed his wheelchair forward. “Still trying to work out how it happened. Can’t even say she’s after my fortune. She got her own and it’s probably more than mine.”

“He spoke to you like that?” Ian kept pace partly to speak to Tommy and partly to ignore Wilf who he didn’t know what to say to. “How long have you worked here?”

“Matt loves me really – he’d thump anyone else who spoke to me like that. I’ve been here since last summer. I met Caro up at Bag End. I’d checked myself into the nut house when I felt myself going down. She was there and well …” He whispered out the side of his twisted mouth. “The rest is fireworks.”

Actually, Rory McCann is 44 (born 24th of April 1969), so he must have been just 41 when he was filmed in season one (which was shown in Spring 2011, but filmed in summer/autumn of 2010). I'm sure there must be some publicity shots from that time.

Maybe your character looks young for his age (or is lying to you about it ;):)).

Thank you for your help. Hmm now Voldemort lol...

I've found Jonah Hex - just cut the cowboy hat off and he works very well.

He blew up the science lab at school when he was fifteen, he was burned and jumped out the window to escape. There is no deep psychological reason for it except he is bipolar and his family suspected it was a suicide attempt gone wrong. I'm not intending to make a huge deal of it.

Figured I'd give him my old school (science labs were second, third and fourth floor)

The footballer Franck Ribery has a pretty severe scar on the side of his face (can't remember which), as well as Carlos Tevez who's got a burn scar all down his lower face/neck. Both are butt ugly as well if that's what you're aiming for?

It reminds me an old joke which was popular back in 90s here.

Past like that makes him a complicated character.

Bipolar - is it two personalities or unstable behavior? I don't remember, he have a brief course of psychology back in University. However, my teacher on these subjects use to have a faith in me.

Mood swings - periods of manic behaviour, periods of OK, periods of depression.
