Does the T stand for 'timeout'?

Though his original name was James R. Kirk in the pilot Where No Man Has Gone Before in subsequent episodes , it became T for Tiberius. As to why this may have happened , my theory is that the change to Kirk middle name may have been as a result of an undocumented Temporal incursion that occurred somewhere in his past.

So the "T" stands for "Temporal", with the "Tiberius" used simply to hide its true meaning?
