Those keenly awaiting the PC version of the acclaimed Batman: Arkham City need wait no longer – at least for a release date.
That’s because Warner Bros has now dated the game on the non-console format, and it’s due to arrive on November 25th on shelves in a game store near you.
That’s just two weeks on Friday now, although the game has already been out for a few weeks on the Xbox and PS3 formats.
The good news for PC players is that it certainly isn’t a disappointment, and builds upon the success of the highly rated Arkham Asylum, City’s predecessor.
City is five times larger than the original game, although still serves as a similar maximum security prison for all the umbrella wielding and riddling weirdos who terrorise Gotham City on a regular basis.
The game has an improved control scheme and combat, with a superbly crafted adventure storyline (by all accounts) which keeps things varied. You even get to play Catwoman for a distinct change of pace.
All the reviewers have raved about Arkham Asylum, and it has achieved a Metacritic average of 95% which very few titles manage.
So it’s been worth waiting for – unless Warner Bros has managed to fudge the port over to the PC badly, that is. We’re hoping that definitely isn’t the case.
Still, there’s something you can do for the remaining couple of weeks while you wait – dig out Arkham Asylum and play that again. If you’ve never played Asylum, that’s a must, as the storylines of the two games tie together…
