The recommended specifications for the PC version of the forthcoming Battlefield 3 video game have been released by EA.

As expected, those who prefer PC gaming over the use of consoles will have to have a top of the range system if they are to run B3 smoothly on higher details.

Also detailed were the bare minimum specs that are required just to get the game up and running.

The operating system Windows 7 is recommended, as is a quad-core processor – although a dual core system is acceptable. There are more details on the specifics below.

A massive 20GB of hard drive space is also required to play the game, whilst the recommended RAM is 2GB – although ideally you would have 4GB.

As you can imagine, only the best graphics cards on the market will suffice for such a visually powerful game – again, more details are stated below.

Funnily enough, the official specs also state that you’ll need a keyboard and mouse.
