Video game publisher Activison has stated that it expects to see an increase in productivity from World of Warcraft developer Blizzard in the coming years.
Blizzard is generally known for taking its time in bringing out new products so that they can maximise the potential of those titles.
The critically acclaimed World of Warcraft series has so far released three expansion packs, but Activision has said that it expects a further two to be released within the next three years.
Also, Blizzard is expected to release another two additions to the Starcraft II series, as well as the forthcoming Diablo III RPG plus an expansion for that.
Diablo III has been promised to fans for a number of years but has still to be given an official release date, although it is expected that it will arrive before the end of the year.
Diablo III would then be presented with an expansion pack before the end of 2014, but with the delays in the first edition of the game this could be pushed back further.
Blizzard will certainly have its work cut out to release this little lot in the next few years, considering it’s also crafting a new massively multiplayer IP.
