Deus Ex: Human Revolution last week once again held off fierce competition from The Sims franchise in the PC game chart.

For the second week running, the Square Enix production impressed with its sales performance in the UK as it remained number one.

The Sims, however, continued its overall dominance of the top ten with five different titles all placing.

The Sims 3: Generations (in 2nd spot), The Sims 3 (3rd), The Sims Medieval (5th), The Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles (7th) and The Sims 3: Late Night (8th) were all present in the best selling PC games of last week.

They are all expected to be joined by a sixth member of The Sims family later next month when EA releases yet another expansion pack.

The Sims 3: Pets is due for release in Europe on October 21st, three days after it becomes available in the US.

Football Manager 2011 once again held fourth place in the charts, but it’s expected to drop in the coming months as more and more news is released on the forthcoming Football Manager 2012.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm was one minor change in the charts this week as it moved up to sixth place from seventh.

Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty and Portal 2 rounded off the top ten.
