Blood Rights is an urban fantasy novel and is the first of five books in the House of Comarré series.

Born into a life of secrets and service, Chrysabelle’s body bears the telltale marks of a comarré — a special race of humans bred to feed vampire nobility.

When her patron is murdered, she becomes the prime suspect, which sends her running into the mortal world…and into the arms of Malkolm, an outcast vampire cursed to kill every being from whom he drinks.

Now, Chrysabelle and Malkolm must work together to stop a plot to merge the mortal and supernatural worlds. If they fail, a chaos unlike anything anyone has ever seen will threaten to reign.

Kristen is a former college English teacher who has held a crazy mix of other jobs, she is a two-time finalist for the Golden Heart awards which promotes authors of excellence in the romance genre.

Kristen has written poetry, articles, short stories and paranormal romances in the past but now feels that she has found her home in urban fantasy. She loves building new worlds and the opportunity and scope that the genre allows.

The other four books in the series are to be released as follows:
Flesh and Blood – November 2011
Bad Blood – December 2011
Out for Blood – August 2012
Last Blood – February 2013

Blood Rights is available now for pre-order from Amazon.
