Matt Smith has taken on a new persona – albeit of a temporary fashion, and for a laugh.
Yes, Matt Smith played Batman, although on the stage as part of a charity event over in Los Angeles.
Other Hollywood stars took part, including Eva Mendes (Ghost Rider) and Jenna Elfman (Dharma & Greg), with the performance being held in front of a crowd of VIP film producer types, according to a report in the Telegraph.
Leading to the speculation that Smith is positioning himself to perhaps leave the TARDIS and attempt to crack America, after the next series of Doctor Who.
The play, apparently entitled Gotham Autopsy, saw Smith’s comedy capering generate quite some laughs from the audience, by all accounts.
He won’t want to be Doctor Who for much longer, not if he’s aiming to build a career elsewhere, without being typecast as the bow-tie sporting manic sonic screwdriver wielder.
