You’re probably aware that eighties horror movie Fright Night has been remade and is out in the cinema this summer. In 3D, naturally enough.
David Tennant plays the part of Peter Vincent, but just like the original film, it’s rumoured that there’ll be a sequel for the reboot.
And the grapevine reckons that Dreamworks want Tennant to actually star in Fright Night II reprised, alongside Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
This is according to a source who spoke to CinemaBlend, and it’ll certainly have Doc Who fans rushing to see the sequel if Tennant does secure the starring role. It’s about time he fronted a major picture.
Hopefully Tennant will be coming back to Doctor Who for the 50th anniversary episode, which will feature multiple Doctors (but definitely not Christopher Ecclestone). That’s in 2013.
