THQ has some presents in store for those keen enough to pre-order Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.
In fact, the company is offering a range of pre-order bonuses, the one that caught our eye being for PC gamers who order through Steam (or other select digital outlets) who will get a free copy of Darksiders.
That’s quite a freebie – we played Darksiders on the Xbox, and it’s an atmospheric apocalyptic hack-and-slash action game, with RPG and puzzle elements thrown in. If you’ve not experienced it before, this is an excellent two-for-one offer.
Those who snag the PC game on Steam will also get the red and bone coloured armour of the Blood Ravens chapter thrown in.
Purchasers at Game and Gamestation are in line for a set of unique armour skins which include the Space Wolves, Black Templar, Iron Warriors and Emperor’s Children chapter.
Blockbuster buyers will get the Golden Relic Bolter, a powerful ranged weapon, and those who pre-order at Play, Zavvi and Sendit.com will get the up close and personal Golden Relic Chainsword.
THQ also took the time to unveil the contents of the Collector’s Edition of the game. This includes a 10 inch replica Purity Seal (nothing to do with the Jonas brothers), a glossy hardback art book, the Space Marine soundtrack and a premium pack of 25 character information cards all in a smart box.
