There’s some role-playing goodness coming to the Xbox in the form of indie dungeon delver Torchlight.
Torchlight started life as a PC RPG, and was ported onto the Mac in August of last year. It will be arriving on XBLA at some time in February or March, as part of Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade House Party, Videogamer.com reports.
The game is a Diablo style exercise in dungeon crawling, multiple monster bashing and loot gathering, all in a very slick and polished engine. The loot system is also very deep, with a great deal of customisation possible.
If you’ve not played it, then it’s definitely one to look forward to. Microsoft’s House Party kicks off on February 16th, with the launch of Beyond Good & Evil, the classic combat action-adventure sci-fi conspiracy game which was critically acclaimed back in 2003.
Torchlight will follow soon after.
