The video game Saw II is set to spring onto shelves this week, courtesy of Konami.
Saw II: Flesh & Blood is set between the Saw II and Saw III movies, putting the player in the shoes of Detective Tapp’s estranged son Michael, who is trying to make sense of his father’s death.
Cue lots of hidden traps and deadly puzzles designed by the maniac Jigsaw, and throw in some allegedly intense combat for good measure. And someone leaping out of a dark corner wearing a pig mask, no doubt.
Careen Yapp, Vice President of Acquisitions & Franchise Development for Konami, commented: “Konami has been in the business of creating memorable horror experiences for over a decade with our heritage in the survival horror genre.”
“So it means so much to align with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures to work on a video game based on Saw, the most successful horror franchise of all time. Our collective vision and approach for Saw II: Flesh & Blood will immerse players in a bone-chilling gaming experience that will not disappoint.”
A launch trailer has just been made available if you want a sneak peak of some of the sadism and goriness the game will feature. Check it out on YouTube.
