Paradox Interactive and developer Arrowhead have just launched the website for the up and coming fantasy romp Magicka.
Magicka is an action-adventure based on Norse mythology which challenges four players to band together and conquer thirteen levels packed with the minions of darkness, servants of an evil wizard who needs a good bottom kicking.
A dynamic spell casting system is promised, along with a tongue-in-cheek satirical sense of humour. In fact, the latest trailer for the game demonstrates the sort of humour you can expect, and is on the front page of the freshly launched website.
Check it out at www.magickagame.com. Any game which features co-op play is worth a gander in our book, and the trailer is stylishly done and genuinely amusing to boot. It put us in mind of Laurel & Hardy crossed with Benny Hill.
Magicka is expected to hit stores come the first quarter of 2011. Provided that giant spider doesn’t eat the gold master.
