So, the follow up to 2008′s The Dark Knight has been pencilled in, tentatively titled Batman 3 and due out in the summer of 2012.
And naturally, rumours are already flying about the next outing of our darkly masked billionaire hero, which is helmed by Christopher Nolan.
In the past, speculation on cast members has included Johnny Depp playing the Riddler, although the latest actor to be tipped for that particular role is Joseph Gordan-Levitt. He’s recently been in Inception, and (500) Days of Summer, though we still remember him best for playing Tommy in Third Rock from the Sun.
Interestingly, it also seems that Batman 3 might be filmed in IMAX, or so the movie’s Director of Photography Wally Pfister told MTV News.
“I can’t say until I read the script, but it would certainly be my preferred, amazing goal to shoot the whole movie in IMAX,” Pfister told MTV. Pfister went on to say he wasn’t a huge fan of 3D, and much preferred the idea of working with IMAX cameras.
