NCsoft and ArenaNet are preparing to release the first novel in the Guild Wars book series, written by Matt Forbeck and Jeff Grubb.
Guild Wars is a massively multiplayer RPG, and the Ghosts of Ascalon book tells the story of the events that precede Guild Wars 2, the sequel which doesn’t yet have a specified release date.
The book details the culmination of hundreds of years of war between man and the cat-like charr. With the humans ready to make peace, they must search within the haunted walls of Ascalon city for an ancient relic to placate the fiery felines.
The book officially launches on July 27th, priced £5.30. Grubb has previously written novels based on games such as the Warcraft and StarCraft series. You can find out more about Ghosts of Ascalon here.
