It’s the trend these days for big name games to come in a standard box, and a more expensive limited edition which contains various goodies and codes to access extra downloadable content.
And it seems Crysis 2 is really going to pull out all the stops in this department, with a special edition costing around $200.
PlayStation Lifestyle reports that the Crysis 2 Nano Edition has been spotted on a number of European websites, and it contains a ton of extra stuff.
There’s a “nanosuit backpack” (yes, a full backpack), a 20cm Prophet’s statue with lighting effects, an art book, a metal dog-tag, an in-game attachment for your weapon that deploys a hologram decoy, bonus experience points, extra unlocked items and codes for downloadables. Oh, and you get the game disc as well, in case you were wondering.
Whether anyone will actually fork out $200 for this – which may well translate to close to the same amount in pounds – is another question. The price may have been exaggerated, though, and this is all speculation which hasn’t been confirmed anyway.
