You may be lamenting the end of the current run of Doctor Who on the TV, which we have to admit, really picked up towards the close of the series.

Previously we hadn’t been Matt Smith’s biggest fan, but he has started to win even us around (despite the bow tie – the fez, now that was more like it).

Anyway, fear not if you’re pining for the noise of the Tardis, because there’s more Doctor Who-ing to be done if you have access to a PC and the Internet. The BBC has just launched its second adventure game starring the Time Lord.

The first outing was City of the Daleks, and this time around the Cybermen are coming out to play. Yes, the Beeb is sticking firmly to the big guns here.

Like the original, the second game, Blood of the Cybermen, has been produced by Sumo Digital, and is free to download.

Hopefully it will have a few less dull and overly easy stealth sections than the first game did, fingers crossed (otherwise City of the Daleks wasn’t a bad family friendly effort, considering its gratis nature).

Blood of the Cybermen is set in the Arctic, where the Doc and Amy materialise to discover a survey team who are slowly turning from flesh to metal, digging away at something sinister which has been buried under the ice.

You can grab the game here. Just watch out that you don’t get grabbed by the cold and clammy outstretched metallic hand of your local unfriendly cyberman while pottering around building a snowman.
